Colin Deacon-Fobister, Managing Director
Colin's 35 years of experience and expertise means there is not much he does not know about TV, home theatre, audio visual, satellite, mobile phone and public address systems.
Colin started his company as a sole operator and has now grown to incorporate staff with varied expertise that encompass other areas of the industry. His dedication to the company is illustrated by not only the on the job training but training to include a Cert II, III in Digital Telecommunications Reception Technology, short courses covering Asbestos Awareness, Radiation Hazard Training, OH&S training, and mobile repeater training.

Scott Newman, Installer & Technician
Scott has 13 years of experience in the audio visual and lighting industry with experience in live and installation work. Scott has worked in clubs, hotels, and commercial buildings, and has been responsible for ensuring systems are kept operational.
He has been with Defob Communications since 2020 and has developed his expertise in PA installations, configuring and commissioning of DAS systems.

Cindy Deacon-Fobister, Office Manager
Cindy is the boss behind the scenes. She formed Defob Communications with Colin in 2012.
Her extensive experience is in accounts and is a computer programmer by trade. Cindy's background makes her a valuable asset to the business and her role includes logistics, accounts, software, payroll and anything behind the scenes. She also runs her own dressmaking business Just for You - By Cindy.

- Cert II, III Digital Telecommunications Reception Technology
- Numerous workplace inductions including retailers (for example Coles and Bunnings), Universities (including Curtin, ECU and UWA), Shopping Centres (including Lend Lease, Hawaiian and Stockland) and a number of mining companies.
