Gidgegannup

This customer wanted mobile reception in his donga which housed workers accommodation, plus reception to cover the sheds. The current reception was only good enough to really send a text. We placed a ‘donor’ antenna (that connects to the tower) on the donga on a 4.5m pole. The area of coverage after the installation was:

Due to the Donga being a long narrow building, we used a panel antenna at one end, and were able to penetrate through all the walls to the other end. All of the electronics were housed in a nice neat box.

W.A. Meat Co

The W.A. Meat Co abattoir near Gingin W.A. found their sales and management staff could not get any mobile reception inside the building. This was due to its metal lined insulated panel walls, blocking all of the signal. We were able to install a Cel Fi GO mobile phone booster system, with an external antenna on the roof, and install 2 ‘service’ antennas in the building, providing mobile coverage in 2 separate areas of the building, including the board room, reception and main office. The system gave the customer 4 bars of 4G service in these areas.

Shire of Perenjori

The Shire of Perenjori wanted a WiFi service down the main street of the town. This enables visitors / tourists to view the various items of interest along the street of this old gold mining era town.

We put an Altai 'carrier' grade wireless access point on the tourist bureau building at one end of the street. This wireless access point has a line of sight (which we had) range of 800m using a handheld device (phone / tablet), and up to 1.2km using a laptop.

To test it, two of us watched You Tube videos all the way down the street and were impressed with the results, with no glitches at all.

Mindarabin

This rural property required reception in the main farmhouse and all of the workers accommodation houses. With some clever planning, and a little bit of luck with the signal conditions and building locations, we were able to cover all 5 houses with 1 Cel Fi system. The system comprised of 2 ‘service’ antennas (the antennas your phone and devices connect to) to service all 5 houses.

Girrawheen Shopping Centre

This customer needed Telstra reception inside their building as building management had little to no mobile reception. As part of occupational Health and safety, if any incident occurred inside the building they could not make a call. A situation given to us was that if a shopper had a health emergency eg a fall, heart attack, or any other incident, they needed to be able to watch over them and call for emergency services, and also call other staff for assistance.

The shopping centre was a long, but narrow building. To get reception, we used ‘Mars’ brand antennas, which are made in Israel. These antennas provide a very good signal over the 160m distance. As these antennas are a directional antenna we used 2 of them back to back, and with the ‘side spill’, were able to penetrate through the ‘Besser’ block walls into the security and building management offices.

The ‘service’ antennas were placed in the centre of the building mall, facing down the long corridors. The antennas have been ‘isolated’ from each other using a painted stainless steel mounting frame. This isolation is necessary for an efficient result.
